  1. This course (energy law and climate change) was okay. It only met once a week for a few hours and Professor Learner bought us lunch every time. There was a lot of reading, which (unfortunately or fortunately) did not relate directly which we covered in class. The final assignment was a paper–so if you were planning on writing a research paper anyways on a topic related to climate change and energy law this might not be too much of a burden for you.

  2. The seminar (Clean Energy Law and Environmental Constitutionalism) was good, not great. He assigns a lot of reading, but the good news is you can very easily get away with wikipedia-ing each case: he doesn’t cold call and basically just cares about the holdings. He mostly wants to ensure you participate in the class discussion. He buys lunch every week so that’s nice too. As far as I can tell he grades pretty leniently if that’s important to you. He tries to keep the class exciting with mixed success. 3 hours on a Friday get tough, but overall I enjoyed the class, got a good grade out of it, and wrote a paper which is the basis for my Note now, so it was worth it 100%.
