Tax Planning and Real Estate Transactions (Fall 2011): Professor Tucker is very good at what he does. Most of the class is his lecture with periodic questions opened to the whole class (little cold calling, if any). The grading is 40% each for 2 papers, and 20% for participation, but seems pretty loose. In past years most people get A- which makes this a safe bet. I recommend it strongly if you want to learn anything about real estate financing, partnerships, or just need something fun to do with 2 credits. You will learn a lot!
Business Planning, W2021 – I’m learning a lot in a low threat and fun environment. He is very accessible and is doing this because he loves his alma mater. A great and rare opportunity to learn about transactional practice.
Nice guy, but he assumes knowledge that many in the class don’t have. I did not look forward to attending class, and I would avoid taking another class with him.
