I took Family Law with Professor Myers last year (Winter 2019). It was a phenomenal choice, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Family Law is very relaxed, and it is a perfect choice if you are taking other classes that might be more time consuming or stressful. Professor Myers does not cold call at all, and she bases her class on PowerPoint slides that she distributes. The class incorporates exercises in negotiation and debate, but even the lecture portions of class are interesting, interactive, and engaging. The cases are also always really interesting.
I would also add the Professor Myers is renown for her work with domestic violence survivors, and she is an amazing resource for anyone interested in gender issues, family law, or public interest. She genuinely cares about students and wants to help you succeed. I am working with her now on a note for a Journal, and she could not be a more supportive, encouraging, and thoughtful advisor.

The best professor. Take family law with her. She is so kind. Reasonable amount of reading. No cold calls.
