Remedies: Very straightforward teaching style and exam. No surprises. He asks tough questions in class which makes the discussion more interesting. Enjoyed the class.
His Con Law class was great. He has really tough cold calls, but he knows it and will help lead you down the right path. He is excellent at pointing out bias and flaws in judicial opinions and explaining certain perspectives. He is also very forthright about what his own viewpoints/opinions are, but gives equal weight to the other side. The exam is a 48-hour take-home with a tight management – it is super manageable and is very fair (the in-class cold calls are a lot tougher!)
Had Bagenstos for con law and currently have him for labor law. He’s probably my favorite professor! He’s great at giving a rich background to current jurisprudence and at helping students be able to argue for and against any perspective. He’s also really good at answering questions, which I find surprisingly rare among professors. I also think he’s super funny and humane. His exams are really fair, which is my favorite thing about taking classes with him.
Bagenstos is brilliant and is obviously a huge name in con law/disability law world. He’s a charmingly-awkward guy, and has a very strong meme game. He’s not terribly approachable though, and office hours can feel even more awkward than you would have guessed.

Had Conlaw with Bagenstos. I thought he was great. He’s a really engaging lecturer. Exam was 48hr take home with a tight word limit.

Took labor law with Bagenstos. He’s a really solid teacher. Tough cold calls, fast-paced class, very little pretense.
