  1. An excellent class. A great way to learn about how law firms work and how pro bono fits into that picture. Compelling guest speakers and great opportunities to ask questions. The course project is a memo proposing a pro bono project. You will be put in touch with a legal services provider in an area that interests you and the head of pro bono at a law firm to inform your paper. Definitely take this class if you are going to a law firm and feel like you have no idea what you are getting in to.

  2. This class is OBNOXIOUS. It’s taught by people who have no critical thinking skills re: big law and the world. They’re convinced pro bono is the solution to every problem, and unreceptive to students’ thoughts. We spent every class talking about the same things, going in absolute circles. Grades are also a crapshoot. Would not recommend.
