I had her for the Law in Rural America seminar and all I have to say about Professor Prifogle are extremely good things. She’s very caring while also an effective instructor. She also very approachable. Do take her class!
I’ll echo the generous with her time comment completely – Prof. Prifogle poured a truly incredible amount of time and energy into a 80+ person property doctrinal, over zoom, and it showed. I’ve never had a doctrinal like it, with multiple “homework” assignments (that she personally reviewed and commented!) outside of class to check your understanding of the dry property rules on top of multiple zoom happy hours to get to know every one of her students. It seemed like her goal was to actually make sure we understood sometimes finnicky rules and it largely worked; I suspect the curve was super tight, but I am confident that I know property topics cold. She also does an excellent job of applying property to real world social issues, which made the class more engaging. There was some trial and error on the syllabus and teaching methods, but that’s not unexpected with the first time teaching this class and doing it over zoom. Great professor, and great class!
