  1. I strongly recommend not taking a class with Professor Sebastian. While I think she is a nice person with lots of knowledge in her area, her expectations are entirely unreasonable. She assigned on average 100 pages+ a class for a 2 credit class and had us to a midterm project where she totally hid the ball with what we were supposed to do.

  2. Similarly, I cannot recommend taking a class with Professor Sebastian. Regardless of her experience and knowledge in the area of Corporate Compliance, the format of the class doesn’t make taking it worth it. Reading assignments are arbitrary and incredibly excessive. The mid term project belongs more in B School, and trying to shoehorn it into a law school class only created confusion. Although the class is fewer than 20 students, the floor is never opened for discussion.

  3. oh god I should have listened. DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH HER. SO boring, you learn nothing. The exam was the most insane poorly structured/worded exam I have ever taken. I cannot repeat this enough, DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH HERE

  4. While I typically take classes that I am interested in regardless of the professor, I would not recommend that in this case. Despite being in a “seminar” of under 10 people, the professor never learned our names and we were not given the opportunity to discuss the material. Rather, the class format was a 2-hour lecture with no break, in which the professor would cold call two particular students for the entire period. It was more stress than it was worth and felt like she was hiding the ball in order to differentiate grades (for example, revealing partway though the term that she would not be posting any of the class PowerPoints).

  5. Professor Sebastian was a really boring presenter. She would put students on call and would barely ask for student input each class. It was basically three hours of Professor Sebastian talking the whole time. She has small groups do a project and her grading scale was unclear and her expectations were hard to meet. Her final was 3 hours long and the tightest final I’ve ever taken. The class wasn’t really hard – but because her grading expectations were so weird I wasn’t surprised that most people got below an A (keep in mind most groups got an A on the project so the C- resulted from the final).
